YOUR DOLLARS AT WORK

Class Trips, Christmas Festivities, and Health Checks

As we move into the new year, we pause to give thanks to our many sponsors and donors whose contributions make it possible for us to provide for children and families in Kenya. Without you there are children who would not be receiving a quality education. There are families who would not have enough food to eat or jobs to enable them to provide for their families. There are individuals who would have to go without medical care. Your support of Hearts For Love Worldwide makes it possible for us to meet the many needs of the children and families in our program and for that we are most grateful. We appreciate each and every one of you and the contribution you make toward our work here and look forward to your ongoing support in 2026. Wishing you good health and happiness throughout the coming year.

Class Trips – Memories were made when our grade eights and nines travelled to Mombasa for a 3 day – 2-night stay. The HFLW sponsored trip was arranged as an alternative to their school trip which was very costly. Accompanied by chaperones Bernard and Dorcas, the kids had the chance to experience many new things. They loved swimming in the ocean and pool, visiting historic Fort Jesus, and riding the train to and from Mombasa. The trip was both fun and educational and certainly something they will never forget. Everyone is so very thankful for the contributions that made the trip possible!

Christmas Celebrations – This year we once again hosted two Christmas parties, the first on 13 December. The day was filled with music and laughter as we celebrated with our families in Loitokitok. The morning started with entertainment by the children. Then Lory shared an update about the children who would be moving from Loitokitok to attend boarding school in Jan. After lunch there were games and recognitions. On December 20th we hosted over 150 people at the HFLW home. Again, the families enjoyed good food and fun games. At the end of both parties, we continued our 17-year tradition of gifting every family a food basket. Contributions from sponsors and donors assured no family was left out.

Medical Camp – As money becomes available groups are being taken for medical screenings (physical, dental and vision). Forty-five dollars covers the cost of the exams and transport to/from the hospital. It does not cover any recommended treatment. As children are seen, sponsors are being notified of the results, any further treatment that is required, and the approximate cost if known. Donations to our medical fund are much needed and greatly appreciated. Medical expenses are not routinely covered by sponsorship, and we need funds on hand, so children get prompt treatment when issues arise.

How to Help Today - Make a one time or recurring donation to be used where most needed.
